Eqmod Celestron CG-5 Equatorial Mount

Can someone tell me if this mount is supported in Eqmod?

at the moment I'm running a cable from the RS-232 communication port on hand control,

to a serial usb adapter.

No Eqmod doesn't support Celestron mounts.

You need NexRemote for Celestron mounts and I'm afraid that, unlike Eqmod, it isn't free.

You dont have to have nexremote to control a CG5 GT from your computer, as long as you have the CG5 GT ascom driver and the ascom platform downloaded and running on your pc you can use other software such as a planetarium program that allows telescope control. I currently use red shift 6, which I picked up new for £29.95

Nexremote is carp, buggy and slow on software updates. As Ian rightly said, use the ascom driver direct in a planetarium app. of your choice.
