Looking for pictures of the cooled version ASI178 internals.

Hi all,

I just ordered an ASI178MM and designing a peltier cooling add-on, I'm trying to find out if the cameras mainboard is actually the same in both versions, cooled & non, maybe there is an expansion connector that connects to the cooling controller, or something like that. Is there anyone that has opened the cooled version and may have pictures of the PCBs inside? It doesn't matter if they are fron the mono or colored version or the cooled camera.

Not done that but I believe the sensor back is thermally connected to the case.  Anyway, I have successfully cooled that camera (ASI178MM) to below -10°C using a 30mm square 19W Peltier TEC directly on the back of the camera with thermal paste.  Used a large passive cooler on the hot side (with paste).  This was for my All Sky Camera.  You need to thermally insulate the camera.

I actually have the whole cooling system designed but need to know if I can possibly connect it to the mainboard and load the cooled version firmware to the camera to be able to control it through the same ASCOM driver.

I don't use ASCOM any longer so can't advise.  INDI measures the sensor temperature and it is displayed in Ekos/KStars on the local computer.
