I think you find the price is a misprint got to be £49.99 for a motorised TAL 1.

I thought it was for a brand new TAL 1 lookalike.

IIRC, the TAL's were originally called Siberia over here. I believe the Blue ones are the older models.

I've looked through a TAL 1 and it gave very sharp views of the planets and the moon.

From what I've read, they were called 'Sovietski' in the States which I find a touch amusing . I've got my TAL1 OTA mounted on a small dob mount which I use while my imaging rig does it's stuff, I have loads of fun with my 'light thimble'!

I had a blue 6" TAL newt for a while - wonderful bit of engineering and excellent optically. Just a bit heavy for the old back ....
