Help improving my image

Hi here is an image i captured the other night using a canon 350 EOS

Shutter Speed 161

Amperture Value 5.6

ISO Speed 800

Focal Length 18.0mm

How can i go about improving this image?

Hi Dean,

Capure a sequence of the images as many as you can and stack them with Deep Sky Stacker making sure you shot in RAW format.

A good place to start is to kill the Light pollution a bit just by realigning the colour channels in photoshop using levels and curves and the histogram set to "colours".

You can do the same thing in a program called pixinsight Le ( the LE version is free)

it also has a Dynamic Background Extraction tool which is great for getting rid of gradients in an image.
