astro mick
Hi. This image was taken a couple of nights ago.It shows NGC5070 otherwise known as the Pelican Nebulae. This is the first time i have attempted this target. It was taken using my ED 80 at F7.5 and a Canon 1000D. The temp of the camera never dropped below 25 degrees. It required full calibration using Bias/Darks and Flats. I took 36 x5min subs with my modded 1000D,and 30 x Ha using a clip filter. These images were beyond noisey, and i thought unuseable. However i had nothing else,so tried some noise reduction scaling.Mixed results but i used them. Cheers. Mick.
wimvb
That came out really nice. This is usually a cooled mono ccd target. So, excellent result with a hot, modded dslr.
