Help with 32 to 16 bit conversion in Photoshop

Recommended Posts

I'm struggling with choosing the best way to do this.

Local equalisation gave me something that then allowed me to bring out a great deal of extra detail while controlling the stars, and great colour, but seemed to be a bit noisy.

Which of the four methods approach do you use? and what setting, if appropriate?

I change local equalisation to exposure and gamma, and leave the rest alone. Never had any problems.

If my images start getting too noisy I use define 2 in the niks collection which does an amazing job. Just need to be careful as if I use it too strongly I loose details.
