Spider/ mirror for ES carbon newt

Recommended Posts

Hi, Is there an alternative spider/mirror assembly for the ES 8" carbon newt, as mine is just BA as it shifts collimation, especially during the warmer temps, it's the early no tool version which I have tried to modify but have sort of given up, I have a spare on it the moment, is this a case of using an ES one or get in a custom type? Thanks Tony

Hi Thx for the link,  will probably swap the mirror as well as it seems very heavy for a secondary,  this could support it I think? maybe this would do the job? https://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p9317_TS-Optics-massive-Metal-Spider-for-8--Newtonian-Telescopes-D-223mm.html looks like it could hold the ES 80mm mirror tho.Tony
