My first attempt at SHO, I have much to learn at processing. I was surprised how much better the colors looked than with HOO.

Wow, is it that time of year already? (Ha clouds season)

Great image, but it looks to me like you can safely take the black point more to the right, and increase contrast. For reference, the darkest areas in those whifs of dark cloud in the upper right, can be made almost completely black.

One way to remove the purple stars (in PixInsight) is to create a donut mask (countour star mask). Then just desaturate the unmasked areas.
