My first timelapse - noctilucent clouds

Recommended Posts

The sky looked great last night, and I had previously wanted to try to do a timelapse so I put out the camera with the intervalometer plugged in and shot until the battery died. I charged it again later, to try to capture one more timelapse of the noctilucent clouds(which are also a first for me). I am really happy with the results and I will make more of these and eventually create a whole video with them.

I hope you like it!

@JohnSadlerAstroMy view to the west is also obstructed by the flat seen in the first sequence, and the noctilucent clouds were actually most visible on the low horizon toward the north.

The exposure was 5 sec with 5 sec delay at f/6.3 iso 400. Any more and the sky will be too bright because of light pollution and the sky never being dark in the summer.
