Draco Threesome

Great night for DSO's here tonight

Got the 12" dob out and I'm having a cruise. Many lovely sights but the highlight so far has been picking out the "Draco Trio" of NGC 5981, 5982 and 5985. 5981 is the most challenging of the 3 but all could be seen glowing 100 million LY's away in the same FoV at 122x (13mm Ethos).

Going to have a look at Jupiter as well as the DSO's, once the giant has popped up above the rooftops a bit more.

Hope others are getting some starlight as well

Got the 102 out on the mount.

So far M13,M51 and Jupiter( with the binoviewers)

 

I am trying out my latest bit of kit, which consists of an old cap with cloth sown to the peak to form a Monks hat.

 

It makes quite a difference in my backgarden, downside is I look a right prat with it on, upside it is now dark, unlike this afters when I was wearing it while solar imaging.
