Hello

This image taken of M100 (blowdryer galaxy) and some  friends.  This is a 4 hour session from a couple of nights

Telescope - 102mm APO ES refractor on a AVX mount

Camera- Canon 450d unmoded iso800 with a Astronomik CLS filter.

Duration 4 hours   - 300s lights., Darks, flats and bias frames also taken

Guided with PHD2 and processed in PS

Of course improvement advice much appreciated :)

Thanks for looking

Dean

Certainly that's a faint target if it's still quite 'discreet' after 4 hours....   I have considered pointing my rig at that same patch of space to see what it can see, mainly based on the amusing 'blowdrier' name.

It's good fun hunting for the friends in this image.  I'm always amazed by how many little faint fuzzies there are out there...

Certainly was a challange, as ever more data woudnt go amiss! However thought it is a worth while object to capture the detail of galaxies.

I will one day move away from DSLR camera

Often wonder how exceptional Charles Messier eyesight was. Howver i guess he didnt have to contend with light pollution to much.

Cheers

Dean
