Nexus DSC Firmware update

Heads up for Nexus DSC users, Serge has released a firmware update, the main points are below and the rest in the support document.  

We've updated the firmware and catalogues for the Nexus DSC and it's now available from the Downloads section of our website.


Here is a list of main changes that the new version (1.1.28) brings:

  • Added observation logs from Steve Gottlieb for all NGC objects
  • Implemented new tracking method when used with ServoCAT/SiTech/SkyTracker
  • Added Solar System Objects' tracking (including Moon) 
  • Improved MPoint functionality
  • Sound indication is implemented for finished GOTOs when used with ServoCAT
  • Preliminary support for AZ-EQ5/AZ-EQ6 has been added
  • Added a function to use Nexus DSC as a WiFi to serial or as a WiFi to USB serial bridge
  • Added a delayed brightness set and a display sleep mode
  • Added an option to display only objects that a within altitude limits in Align, Find->From Catalogue and in  Find-From Observing List modes
  • 22 new catalogues have been added - for the full list of catalogues download this  document (new catalogues are highlighted in light blue) - this takes the total number of objects in the database to over 2.44 million
