Here's my take on it.   .

Up at  5:30am.    Jupiter and Mars very close together. In fact at first glance I thought I had missed the event as the pairing could be mistaken for a singular bright star, but maybe that's my eyesight these days.   Sliding around on the sloping frozen mossy paving slabs.  (!!) with two cameras and a unruly tripod.......   cloud ranging from  1 to 5 oktas in 10 minute spells......  eek!!

Had the C90Mak with D60  and a Canon G16 compact.  These shots are in reverse order with respect to time, going from wide field G16 to C90 prime focus FOV (1350mm)

Got the Galilean moons (yay!!)  at the expense of over exposing the Jovian disc (booo!!)

As with the last conjuction it might be interesting to see how close the Moon gets in a few days time.
