NGC7000 - North American Nebula

Decided to give this one a try with the unmodded 400D and the ED80 last night.

38 mins (19 x 120sec) @ ISO 800, and prcessed to death in Photoshop, surprised the 400D picked up anything.

Un-modded cameras will pick up something its just it typically takes about 5 times the exposure to get any really useful data.

I used a NikonD200 before I picked up the 350D and modded it myself (Reasonable investment in Nikon kit for general photographic use)

It's since I have had the modded 350D that my output has shot up because I can now get quite useable data with an hour of subs rather than 5 hours like I used to have to do...

Thanks Billy, I know I really need a second camera body (modded for astro work) or a CCD but that takes some serious working on the other half to get under the radar but am working on it, may take a while though.
