lux eterna
I had two useful nights in December, and managed to get 55 x 10 min @ iso 800 on NGC1333. I like being mobile as it gives me pretty dark skies, and also I can choose a place with a minimum of clouds, wind and moisture. This image was taken with a modded Nikon D7000 in a 8" Meade LX200-ACF on HEQ5 Pro, guided with a standalone Nexguider. BTW, I am a big fan of the Nexguider which I find is very reliable. Effective focal length with 0,78x reducer = 1600 mm @ F 7,8. Total exposure 9h10m. I used a 2" Astronomik CLS filter. Processing: Aligning (registering) with Registar Stacking & stretching etc with PS CS5 Additional tools = Topaz Suite, Star Shrink, GradientXterminator Ragnar
