Hello Folks,

Last night my in laws handed me some cash....which was nice

Anyways i don't seem to be getting any where with the ST80 and my webcam (SC1 BW) and was thinking of upgrading the OTA to maybe a 150.

Is the ST80 and the web cam up to the job of DSO imaging??? if not would getting the ST150 be a wise move. If not what would?

We are talking about £300 so not loadsa of money.

Do you have an EQ mount for the ST80? It should work OK for DSO hunting using an LX webcam. It would even be better than an ST150 as most DSOs are quite big and the webcam chip isn't.

Something like a motorised EQ5 should do the trick.

Problem solved i just got a William Optics Megrez 72 FD APO money well spent me thinks.

I have a Skywatcher HEQ5 SynTrek so the mount is covered.(its just me :scratch: )

Had a chat with Steve FLO and realised some obvious mistakes I have been making.

I will be back.

One daft question.....once the image is down how do you guys blow it up??? Photoshop??
