Now pier is installed ,attention turns to power so purchased a box off ebay and sourced a 12v power strip and a 12v socket , bus bar and power lead to sort so it can be plugged into a power socket on pier , voltmeter and momentary switch to be fitted also ,i have made it removable so it can be stored out of the elements when not in use .

All wired up ,though i have still to put a panel fuse in so i can change if needed without taking unit apart ,power distribution box has blade fuses in  also
