Three DSOs

Last night wasn't a brilliant one for imaging, there was very poor transparency despite apparently very little cloud. This has manifested itself in my subs as a fine 'grain' effect in the direction of the prevailing wind.

Even so, I think it proves I sorted my cooled 450D and got guiding working well on my EQ3 mount. In each case I stacked 90% of subs using DSS but a visual inspection suggested that all subs would have been usable. I just need a good, clear moonless night.

Sadr, 15 x 300s subs:

Wizard Nebula, 16 x 300s subs. This one suffered badly from being on the edge of a big dome of LP:

DIY, I got a template off the web for the copper 'finger', used various bits from my hoard mostly from an old fridge, 3D printed a few bits and made an anti-dew loop out of resistance wire. In retrospect it would have been better to have used a ring of ~30 1-ohm surface mount resistors as it needs a fair bit of current. I need to replace the 'nest' of resitors with a single one or a PWM dropper.

I hope I haven't upset anyone who's already 'reacted' but on some monitors those images came out looking really over-processed compared to how they looked in Photoshop. This has been along standing problem for me, but I think I have sussed it now and uploaded versions with an embedded colour profile.
