Microsoft ICE Tip - 16 bit Export

I've been using Microsoft ICE for easy mosaics, such as this one of the Virgo Cluster:

However, I noticed that it often outputs 8-bit TIFF files, which means I lose data if I do any more processing after assembling the mosaic. In particular, this happens when importing RAW files, but I've just found a workaround - the trick is to convert them into 16-bit TIFFs before importing into ICE. The link explains why this works.
