Two great nights... and the moon is up!

We hadn't had a clear night sky in weeks and now that the moon is interfering, we had two perfect nights in a row. Absolutely clear skies, no wind and no moisture. At least I could get some nice shots of the moon. Even caught the "X" today :)

The "X" is about here:                                                                                                                  ---^---

Each image is a composite (Registax) of 50 x 1/160sec ISO3200 taken with the ED80 and a 2x Barlow lens.

Thanks for looking and clear skies!

Nice shots, I think you could get away with lower (and less noisy) ISO though.

Hi John, fair enough. I gave it another shot today. 50 x 1/100sec ISO1600.
