Will a Lunt B1200 Calcium K-Line filter unit work OK on my scope?

Maybe somebody out there can help me here?

 

I am toying with the idea of getting a Lunt Solar B1200 Calcium K-Line Filter to expand my solar imaging options. However when I read the specifications it says that this unit is "optimised for telescopes up to 100mm aperture and 1080mm focal length".

My refractor has 123mm aperture and a focal length of 780mm.

 

How well will the B1200 unit work on my scope ???

Will I be wasting my money and time???

A shorter focal length is not an issue, a longer one might mean that the 12mm image circle is a bit small. The larger aperture might be an issue due to build-up of heat. It is of course fine if you stop it down to 4" which I think is the rate maximum aperture.

Maybe I should try this option ... when I get around to deciding 100% to get one .... it's an expensive bit of kit !
