zoom .. and boom!

Recommended Posts

The Sun was nice over here today. I observed it for about 1.5h with my zoom with the VIP nosepiece attached. On my TV60, this gives mags from about 20x to 75x.

Really nice details of the patch/chain of sunspots a bit away from the centre. The wind ceased completely for about 15 minutes, and the HR2.4mm gave a super zoom of that patch at 150x! Very impressive. The ramification of faculae extending from the patch to the border was also very defined as well as the granulation throughout the solar disc.
