PixInsight TIFFs and Photoshop

Recommended Posts

Hi

Just came across a copy of Photoshop which I intend to start using to process my images in addition to PixInsight...

When saving TIFFs in PI, I am confronted by a wave of different options... I have tried both 16 bit and 32 bit TIFFs in PS and get different results... for example i cannot use the Curves tool on a 32 bit image...

Im wondering which version of TIFF should i be exporting from PI? And is there an option to set it to default every time - it keeps returning to 32 bit IEEE.

Thanks

Joe

My own preference is to save as 32bit TIFFS for Photoshop.  At first use the functions that are available such as levels and then do Image->Mode->16bits/channel to continue with the rest of the processing.
