I think this is a Lyrid meteor?

Recommended Posts

I took about 6 three minutes exposures last night, ISO1600 at 35mm with an canon zoom lens F4.5.  I found a trail on one just above Dubhe that looks different to the usual satellite trails that I find in images!  I visually saw approx. 7 of them over the space of a hour or so.  Do you think it's a Lyrid?  It does have an extended trail leading up to it, but it's not on the next exposure at all.  Maybe an iridium flare?

Looks like a meteor, don't know if it's the one you want, check it against the radiant.

Whenever I tried widefield for meteors, 16>24mm always picked up a few faint ones like that.

Sometimes would get 3 or 4 on a single 30sec sub.

Will see if I can find the old images.
