Air Ionisers and Optics

Recommended Posts

I brought an air purifier which has a Hepa filter system as well as a Ioniser, my intention was to help my wife with her Hayfever over the next couple of months. Reading the instructions (not something I make a habit of) it said about possible dis-colorisation to paint if the unit was very close to walls ect. This has got me wondering, will these "negative ions" it produces react with the mirror or lens coatings on my optics? :icon_confused:

Any thoughts or advice much appreciated.
