Venus crescent 14/3/2017

Recommended Posts

Tonight I figured it would be a good idea to image the planet Venus through my 4.5" reflector. I took out my telescope, Neximage Burst, eyepieces and my laptop outside with me, looking to the west I was greeted with a beautiful, pink sunset and an amazingly bright Venus. I set up the telescope, centered Venus and used it to align my Nexstar. I pulled out my 25mm and inserted my Neximage. I recorded two 1500 frame videos and one 2000 frame video.

My three images turned out well, One did have a problem when stacking but it doesn't affect the actual picture of the planet. In my last post many of you told me to turn down my exposure, I did and in my opinion, improved the picture drastically!

I would love to hear your opinions on the images and how I can improve them.

Thank you and clear skies!

Adam
