Stub Mandrel
Managed to get an M42 with the 130P-DS at last, although the moon wiped out any chance of getting faint nebulosity and thin haze has probably softened the detail a bit. Best of 103 frames 230s @ iso800 plus 103 5s frames just for the trapezium.
wimvb
Nice catch, despite the haze and moon. Thanks for sharing
Stub Mandrel
Thanks. It shows the potential of the 130P-DS for when there's a moonless night. I just need a tree-mover as in a few weeks Orion will be out of my 'comfort zone' :-(
Jannis
Nice capture, especially with the moon and haze!

sulaco
I love this as it has the look of a 70s Sci-Fi book cover, I would have that printed on some proffessional silver impregnated paper. great image
