I was down in Crewe today visting Orion Optics.

Wow...

John was kind enough to show us how they make the mirrors and test them.

We saw their CNC machines...very fast. Saw them polishing various mirrors, secondaries, correctors for their OMC range. We saw their anodizing facility with various colours, and their hilux coating machines. We saw their Zygo Interferometer test laser...very cool. Saw their new carbon Fiber tubes...very light, and met the man who made my mirror.

Orion Optics produce exceptional optics for visual and imaging applications, they are a credit to Britain and we are lucky to have such fine opticians virtually on our doorsteps.

Thanks again to John for the tour...and I'll be back soon I hope
