Capella et al...First for three weeks!

Recommended Posts

The weather here has been awful and last night was the first time I saw stars for nearly three weeks! I only managed to get 40 mins of subs as it got very hazy and cloudy from about 9.00pm.

8 X 5min, iso 1600, 1200D, 70-300mm at 70mm, F5. DSS. PS.

It is not framed quite right, and there is a lot of interest at bottom right with IC 405 and 410, and many clusters. I'm just happy to get something!

And here is one that I have pushed the processing a lot harder. I need many more subs for it to be able to receive this sort of treatment! The 1200D seems to have a lot of banding noise when images are pushed a bit. I should be arrested for image abuse...
