First M33, DSLR, 75-300mm lens, star adventurer

Recommended Posts

Had a go at this target for the first time. Took 50 x 120second exposures and around 30 dark frames. Sony A57, Minolta 75-300mm lens at 200mm on the star adventurer.

I am not sure this subject really suits this focal length but it was good to get something at least. Its very noisy ins site of the darks, didn't have time to do them when i did the light frames so put my camera in the fridge to do them. lol.

Thanks for looking

Hi

Not bad! However you could improve it greatly with flats to remove the vignetting and bias frames to reduce noise. Also, line up the histogram peaks, check black point, stretch a bit in curves. Don't forget to crop the edges to remove stacking artifacts :)
