M42 and Running Man

Frustrated by lack of imaging opportunities and unable to get any shots of Orion so far this winter, I went back to last year's data. This particular image was very purple and lacked the faint nebulosity that I now have some experience in getting out. I think it's greatly improved (before and after shots) I certainly found some dust clouds!.

I like that Neil, you've pulled out heaps of dusty stuff, 3D looking. The core is nicer to look at too

That pic was with the Prinz Galaxy 400mm - not bad for a 40+ year old tele lens! I found this one which was taken with the 150PL and gave it a makeover too, sadly the extended nebulosity is missing:
