My pain to process M31

still found this one a pain to process, loads of gradients in it, i think there is still a bit of colour gradient here and there, but on my screen this looks reasonable, i deleted a load of subs that looked rough, not due to star trails of focus but to the dreaded light pollution, it`s amazing what subs look like on different nights.

Processing can be a pain. What software do you use? PixInsight DBE can work wonders on gradients, but it takes a lot of fiddling with the parameters.

I'm currently using deep sky stacker and Photoshop cs3, I like the look of pixinsight although I think it might be a little intense for me, was thinking of getting gradient exterminator whick is a lot less price wise.

What about considering StarTools?

until yesterday i had never heard of star tools, all i here was pixinsight which i think would take me forever and a day to learn and gradient exterminator, i had a look at startools last night and looks very interesting and at a very good price, thanks for the heads up.
