replacing batteries in laser collimator

Recommended Posts

just went to collimate my scope last night and found the batteries in the laser collimator were flat as a pancake, told the wife and found that she had used it to keep the kitten entertained (words were exchanged!)

I unscrewed the cap on the end of the collimator and inside it looked like one of those little laser pointers you can buy at the market and it was held in place with three little grub screws. Now in theory i can change the batteries but in practice i would imagine it to be a bit trickier as i would think the collimator would need collimating. Any ideas anyone?
