Very interesting Jeff, thanks for posting. I didn't know much about these probes, they look like they will extend our knowledge of the earts magnetic field and its interaction with the solar wind.

A few years ago I was out pulling an all-nighter and saw 6 substorms flare up and die. They varied from an even, dull glow to an intensely bright curtain with beautiful structure.

It was a lovely addition to the session.
