Demonperformer
At the risk of getting a ton of responses that answer a totally different question ... How do I get PERecorder to select the 'webcam' that is in the eyepiece holder, rather than the 'webcam' which is installed in the body of my laptop? That was the last straw tonight ... ChrisLX200
Disable the webcam in the laptop under Device Manager... ChrisH
Demonperformer
Thanks for the suggestion, Chris. I tried it and, although it no longer showed the laptop camera, it was trying to configure my main imaging camera (which was not plugged in) and just showed a black screen (even when uncovered). Giving it a little thought, and including the fact that APT does not recognise it either, I am wondering if I need an extra driver for ASCOM software to see it. I will go looking. Demonperformer
Right, I have found I do need an ASCOM driver and have installed them, but am still getting the same problem with both PERecorder & APT. This suggests to me that the problem is somewhere in the realm of the ASCOM connection with this camera, so have started a new thread for a solution to this more general problem with the camera. Thanks.
