Cassiopeia wide field with kit lens 10-09-16

First crack at any astrophotography for a while, hope to do more now the earlier dark nights are coming.

This was with the 18-55mm kit lens at 18mm and my Sony A57 on a Star adventurer. I don't think i had the polar alignment spot on but i am thinking it may not be so critical at this focal length.

50 or so 30 second subs and 10 dark frames. I have not got the hang of processing out a gradient from the street lights. Followed a method i found on you tube using Gimp but its still there.
