First light with new setup

Had some clear skies last night so took my ultra portable setup outside.

The setup is an asi178mc with home made cooling mod attached to a Nikon 50mm f1.8 lens with a dew heater.  This is mounted on a SW star adventurer on a photo tripod.  The tripod turned out not to be quite stable enough to maintain accurate polar alignment so I will need to change that and since I had the lens wide open there is bloating at both ends of the spectrum but otherwise it went pretty well and was really easy to use.

CA wasn't too bad at f1.8, mostly just in the corners as the camera chip is pretty small compared to what would normally be used with this lens.

The capture is with a raspberry pi3 controlled by my iPad and everything will run off of 5V USB that lets me use the highly portable and cheap battery packs that are available for charging mobile devices.

M31 is 29 x 15 seconds subs.

NGC1499 is 38 x 25 second subs.

Processed in PI.
