Televue Barlow x1.8

Hello. I have managed to acquire a Televue barlow 1.25 at 1.8x magnification. The modern equivalent seem to be x2 now so I take it these are one of the older ones. It has come with box and caps which is a good sign and also made in Japan.  

I am not sure how these compare to the modern day barlow and powermate ,but I am sure there are members who have used both which should be able to supply more information on the quality

Looks like these were introduced in 1985, and I guess phased out when the x2 Barlow was introduced in 1995. See: http://www.televue.com/engine/TV3b_page.asp?id=13&Tab=_chron

I have a similar one, but 2.5X (bought from a fellow SGL:er) and I am very happy with it. It is good quality and works fine for me.
