Astronomic UHC clip filter for widefield?

Hi folks,

This is probably a simple question to answer. Can Clip filters be used with Camera lenses when imaging astro widefield? I know they are fine with scopes but wanted to check with lenses before I spend out.

Another quickie... I have found a Bhatinov mask does not work, i.e. produces no pattern, when placed on my telephoto and other lenses. Is this normal?

With EF fit lenses, yes they can. I don't think they work with EF-S lenses, as the lens mount pokes further into the body of the camera.
