Manual 2" filter wheel, or 2" filter slider?

As I have a couple of 2" filters for the Dob now, I'm looking at either a manual 2" filter wheel or 2" slider.

Has anyone done some comparisons, or recommend one over the other?

The only thing I can think of that may sway my decision, is the wheel houses the filters when not in use, and a slider keeps them in the open air.

I might add, the wheel or slider would be for visual only at the moment, on a Moonlight CR2 focuser.

I decided to go for a manual 5 position 2" filter wheel for visual. Although it was double the price of the slider £100 vs £50, the filters are all housed within, so not open to atmosphere.

Just in case anyone else was in the same position
