Fireball ?

While out pottering around the sky tonight with the scope , I believe I was lucky enough to see a meteor about 02.45 which came from the direction of the square of Pegasus and into Cygnus.

It appeared very bright and erupted in a bright orange / red flame and what looked like smoke.

I was wondering if anyone else saw this.

no did not see it but these are a wonderful sight, i was lucky to see one a few years back, it must have had a copper content as the tail was a lovely green colour
