Ny Jove it's Jupiter (June 26th)

A lot of faffing to get the scope to a position where I can actually see Jupiter over the neighbour's trees. In the end the scope ended up on decking next to the house which wasn't ideal, especially as I couldn't see Polaris to polar align. :'(

Seeing was a little better earlier in the evening despite the fact that the planet was a bit lower. Will process those AVIs in due course. Here's my first Jupiter of 2008 (and close to my last most probably :) )

Thanks chaps.

Mike, the next stop for me is the living room, imaging out of the patio doors. I've done it before but make sure that I'm the only one up first, otherwise I could be in trouble with you know who!!
