Registax and Jupiter

Hi

I have a celestron  8"SCT and a canon 450d camera.

I normally try and concentrate on DSO's However the better nights seem to occur around full moon times! However How many frames of jupiter do you need to take to process a decent image of jupiter on registax?

Just a planetary camera will do. There are quite a few ASI120MC and ASI120MC-S appearing second-hand at the moment, because people are switching to the newer ASI224MC, and the older (still very capable) cameras are going for very reasonable prices. With a 2x Barlow or tele-centric lens (PowerMate or TeleXtender) your 8" SCT could get great captures. My last ASI120MC shots looked like this:
