Spring and Autumn Moonwatch events next year

Wasn't sure whether to put this in heads up or here so please move if you wish admins...

I've just been reading up on the International Year of Astronomy declared by the UN. Doing a quick google "National year of Astronomy", I was pleasantly surprised as to how many Countries are involved. Anyhoo... Looking at the UK site , there are plans for both Spring and Autumn moonwatch weeks up and down the Country. Given the time it can take to organise a public event through an astro society, I thought I might mention this as a 'well in advance heads up' for any astro society members out there. I know that many may already be planning their society events for next year.

I've just sent an email to our society chief as it coincides with our 40th celebratory year

I guess we can only try.. if weather's good, it would be worth all the effort to get some telescopic moon views to the general public
