The Iris experiment (NGC 7023)

I thought I would have a go at trying some 15 minute exposures and got 9 of them last night. Iso 1600, DSS, Photoshop etc.

I also got lots of 10 minute exposures earlier in the session but when I combine them, the gradient you see here becomes impossible to do anything with.

Pleased that I can get 15 min subs though the processing requirements for them is beyond me at the moment. I've always found Iris a difficult customer but I keep going back for more!
