Just a very quick couple of minutes to look at the sun today. Checking the solar film for pin holes before using, the monster spot seems visible as a small spot without optical aid (other than the film of course). I don't have the vocabulary to describe it properly, but yesterday it reminded me of a blue bottle fly crawling on the surface of the sun. Today in the scope I wondered it it had a more defined Y shaped brighter centre dividing it up, and it looks more like the centre of a pansy. How aweome to see a sun spot evolve over the last 24 hours! :icon_biggrin:
