M38- Full moon night

Hello

Sods law seems to be operation on the south coast. Majority of clear nights seem to happen around full moon!

Anyway i choose to take this pic on a full moon last week of M38.  With the 8"SCT (with focal reducer)on a avx mount  unguided

I did 8*2min light frames aswell as darks, flats,

Also was amazed that dss could detect 317 stars in one frame and had scores ranging from 1500- 2100! Even could discard some of the poorer frames! Some of you know i have struggling to get lots of frames stacked and lack of stars

Not perfect but thanks for looking

Cheers

Dean

Nice!

Congrats, I know you've been struggling. Now the fun of processing begins; if you're right we should be going into a period of cloudy nights, now that the moon is waning. :tongue2:

Good luck
