A parfocal planetary quartet

I have just received a parfocalising ring as a slightly delayed birthday gift. I fixed it onto the barrel of the Delos 8mm which always played second fiddle in my planetary EPs because it wasn't parfocal with the three Pentax XWs (at 10, 7, and 5mm). The ring allowed me to get an exact match to the focus position of the XWs. I now will certainly keep the Delos 8mm, and most probably get the 6mm with ring, to make up a quintet.

Nice line up Michael. Having to re-focus at high power is a real nuisance.

I love my Delos 6 mm (with 8" f/6 Dob), you wouldn't be disappointed, I bet. One helluva turkey leg it is, though, even bigger than the 8...

Just like the XW5 is bigger than the XW7. Quite logical given the Smyth-lens design
