Hello all,

Version 3.2.0 of the free planetarium program "Hallo Northern Sky" has just been  released. A new animation menu was added which can demonstrate planetary phenomena,  find eclipses and occultations but it can also demonstrate star proper motion in e.g. M4 using the UCAC4 star database.

Some new animations made with HNSKY version 3.2.0 on YouTube:

Star proper motion in global cluster M4 over a period of 8000 years. Note the animation uses linear proper motion of the UCAC4 which will differ from reality since stars will rotate around the center of gravity. M4  exist already a very long time and will not evaporate in 8000 years. Watch also the stars outside M4:
