My First M1

Looks like 400mm is a bit of a short F/L for M1, still nice to discover I can nudge my subs up to 2 minutes.

The telephoto lens is starting to show its weaknesses with haloes around the stars but they don't look too bad after a couple of 'actions'.

Had hoped for a bit more detail but at least it's recognisable. 37 2-minute RGB subs at ISO1600.

Yes it's quite small.

For Messiers No. 1 object- it's a surprise to many how small it really is. Needs a good 1000mm FL to start showing details.
